If you’re logged in, you’ll see your subscription email address in the upper right-hand corner, next to the Scratchpad icon.
Saving
- Click the Main Menu button (the button in the upper left-hand corner with the three horizontal lines on it).
- Select Save as or Save.
- Choose a name for your map.
- Click Save.
Sharing
Once you’ve saved a map, you can share it through a URL, also known as a web link. To do so, click the Main Menu, then Share, then copy the link.
Sharing Snapshot
Once youv’e saved a map, you can share a “snapshot” of it. This is an image of your map that can be accessed through a link. It’s an image file that you export and download to your device.
To share a snapshot of your map, click the Main Menu, then Share snapshot, then copy the link.
We designed the Share snapshot feature with online quizzes in learning management systems (LMSs) in mind. An quiz answer shared as a snapshot will generally by default be previewed by the LMS’ grading tool, so the grader doesn’t have to open anything or follow a link. At the same time, unlike uploaded images or files, snapshot links can’t fail to upload before the student submits the quiz, thus eliminating a risk that comes with these other submission methods.
