With Good Reason: An Introduction to Critical Thinking and Argument Mapping is a digital textbook by Jonathan Reid Surovell and Zachary Poston. It introduces critical thinking through argument mapping and is designed for use with Argumentation.io.

Assign the textbook and Argumentation.io

Instructors can assign With Good Reason through their college or university bookstore. The available courseware bundle includes the digital textbook and a six-month Argumentation.io redemption code.

Students use the redemption code to activate Argumentation.io access through their own accounts. See Subscribe or Redeem a Code for redemption instructions.

Download the textbook

Downloading With Good Reason through Argumentation.io requires one of the following:

  • An individual Argumentation.io subscription
  • Access through an institutional subscription
  • A redeemed Argumentation.io code

Once you have access:

  1. Open Main Menu.
  2. Select Textbook.
  3. Choose where to save the PDF on your device.

The downloaded PDF can be opened with a compatible PDF reader.
