Main Menu
The Main Menu button, represented by three horizontal lines, is in the upper-left corner of the Argumentation.io workspace.

Select the button to open the menu. With a keyboard:
- Use
TaborShift+Tabto move focus to Main Menu. - Press
Enterto open the menu. - Press
Tabto move focus to the first menu command. - Use the Up and Down arrow keys to move among the commands.
- Press
Enterto activate the selected command.
The commands available depend on whether you are signed in, whether your account has saving access, and whether you are a student or have instructor features enabled.
Map commands
New Map
Starts a new map in place of the one you’re currently working on.
Save
Saves changes to the current map. Saving requires an account with an individual subscription, a redeemed code, or institutional access. Saved maps are stored in your Argumentation.io account.
If the map has not been saved before, Save opens a window in which you can name it.
Save as
Saves the current map under a name you choose. Use Save as to create a separately saved map. Saving access is required.
Load
Opens a list of the maps saved in your account. From this window, you can load or delete a saved map.
Student commands
My Assignments
Opens the assignments available to you, together with their due dates, status, attempts, and scores.
Instructor commands
These commands appear after instructor features have been enabled.
Save as Question
Saves the current map and Scratchpad content as a question.
Questions
Opens your saved questions and solutions.
Banks
Opens your question banks.
Quizzes
Opens your quizzes and the questions and banks that can be added to them.
Classes
Opens your classes, student lists, teaching assistants, and class assignments.
Assignments
Opens the assignment-management window.
Grading
Opens submitted assignments for grading and feedback.
Sharing and exporting commands
Export as .png
Downloads the map to your device as a PNG image file.
Export as .pdf
Downloads the map to your device as a PDF file.
Share snapshot
Creates a link to a view-only image of a saved map.
Share
Opens a window from which you can copy a link to a saved map.
The recipient can navigate and edit the loaded map, but their changes do not affect your saved map. A recipient with saving access can save the resulting map to their own account.
Enable Collaboration
Turns on real-time collaboration and automatic saving for a saved map. Use Share afterward to copy the collaboration link.
When collaboration is enabled, this command becomes Disable Collaboration. Guests collaborating on someone else’s map instead see Save as copy.
Account and help commands
Logout
Logs you out of your account.
Manage Account
Opens account information and commands for updating your email address, resetting your password, enabling instructor features, and managing your subscription.
Selecting Manage Subscription prompts you to enter the email address associated with your subscription. Argumentation.io sends that address a link to the customer portal, where you can update or cancel the subscription and review invoices.
Your subscription email may differ from your Argumentation.io account email. When you subscribe, Stripe asks you to enter an email address; the address entered there becomes the email associated with the subscription. Use that address when requesting the customer-portal link.
Subscribe
Opens the available Argumentation.io subscription options.
Redeem Code
Allows you to enter an Argumentation.io redemption code.
Contact
Opens an email to Argumentation.io. Use it to ask questions, report problems, or make suggestions.
