Pan and Zoom the Map

Panning changes which part of the map is visible. Zooming changes how large the map appears on the canvas. Neither action changes the contents or structure of the map.

Pan across the canvas

With a mouse, place the pointer over an empty area of the canvas. Press and hold the mouse button, then drag the canvas in the desired direction.

Start in an empty area rather than on a box. Dragging a movable box can change its position in the argument instead of moving your view.

Zoom or fit the map

Use the View Panel in the lower-left corner of the workspace to:

• Zoom in
• Zoom out
• Fit the map to the available space
• Show or hide the mini-map

Map zoom affects only the canvas. To enlarge text, controls, and the rest of the interface, use your browser’s zoom feature.
